In the new series, Journey of an Artist, singer-songwriter and poet, Emmeline, talks to creatives from all walks of life about their passions, their paths, and the persistence they’ve employed to reach a point of professional and personal fulfillment. Emmeline sits down with voice actors, poets, dancers, musicians, graphic designers, stylists, and more to discuss the decisions they’ve made, the challenges they’ve faced, the obstacles they’ve overcome, and where they’d like their vision to take them next. In this special Easter episode, Emmeline sits down with fellow Twitch streamer and worship musician Vince Hilado. A native of the greater Chicago area, Vince grew up playing in classical piano competitions and eventually became the main pianist for his church. He talks about his journey through classical music and about the world that opened up to him when his mentor at the church introduced him to different genres of music--including musical theatre! Vince has since become the Assistant Music Director at his parish, music director for a multitude of musicals, and an Affiliate streamer on the Amazon platform, Twitch. Emmeline and Vince also swap hilarious horror stories about playing church services, saying "yes" before you're ready, and putting in the work to become a more effective musician.
